Children's spaces free of trends and commercially driven products is important to me. I am not militant about this but simplicity and the influence of rainbows and nature goes a long way in children's environments. Pre-teen spaces are especially enjoyable to design when the child has a developing sense of the person they are growing into. Found elements such as vintage paint by numbers, crafted by hand details, children's art showcased, and the right balance of editing and organization keeps things realistic when designing environments for kids.
How can a space be captivating? Textures, lighting, scent, a mixture of old and new or simply the right amount of color is what I inspire each space to achieve. Moments can be captivating and that is why every home or business should have several waiting to be found within.
before & after
Before and after process images are the narrative that tells the tale of the client's needs, the needs of the space, and goals we all had as a team. I love design and the design process, problem solving is my favorite part of my job! No space is ever 'easy' or without challenges, that is what makes this so rewarding!!

small and mighty
Each year I give myself time to learn new trades and skills. This keeps my brain sharp and my toolbox full of skill sets. Materials and processes are my favorite thing to research and learn, for example: dying fibers with natural plant dyes, sealing tile and grout, glazing ceramics, finishing wood and wallpapering walls. In addition to materials and processes there is always a new trick up my sleeve with growing houseplants, weaving, casting, and making things with my hands to bring to clients as well as my personal mind medicine.
